WE ARE DIFFERENT!
Our office is special. We try to see every new patient within two weeks, and we try to see “emergencies” as soon as possible, usually the same day – whether you are a new patient or one of our ‘family”. We are usually on schedule – we know your time is as valuable as ours. Children can also get ‘antsy” if they have to wait – so we are rarely late.
The pediatric dentist has an extra two years of specialized training and is dedicated to the oral health of children, dentistry for children, from infancy through the teenage years. The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these needs. Also, it is highly recommended to get orthodontics treatment for a happy smile ever!
We, Pediatric Dentist in Marietta, Pediatric Dental Office, provide excellent dental care for children from infancy through adolescence, including those with special needs, enabling our patients to attain and maintain optimum oral health for their lifetime. We believe every child is precious and therefore treat every child in our office as if they were our own. Our goal in providing pediatric dentistry for your children is to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere in which your children will embrace good dental hygiene habits from the start. In order to achieve this we commit to the following:
To eliminate the fear many children associate with dental visits by providing care to your child in a fun, relaxed, and non-intimidating manner.
To provide patients and their parents with the right information to develop preventive dental skills for healthy teeth now and in the future.
To provide gentle quality dental care to infants, children, adolescents and those with special needs.
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children are recommended seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with the child for their comfort. All restorative treatments will also be seen in the morning for the same reason. Dental appointments are an excused absence. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued. Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient we ask that you please notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to keep your appointment. Another patient who needs our care could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard. Please call 770-971-5536 to schedule an appointment.
We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.
Payment is required at the time of service for treatment. Every effort will be made to provide you with a treatment plan that will fit into your budget, schedule and that will give your child the best possible care. We accept cash, checks, most major credit cards and offers an outside financing source. Our office participates in most PPO dental insurance plans. For any additional questions please contact our office.
Everyone is so nice!
My son is almost 3yo, and was reluctant to see the dentist at first, but when he saw many toys and books upon entering the waiting room everything just sort of sailed smoothly from there. Especially when we got inside the examination 'hall', consisting of 2 rows of lying down seats for dental exam, a TV and many toys, he felt right at home.
Dr. Sarah and her team of friendly staff made things so easy for us.
Like this place. Actually the first pediatric dentist office I visit where you don't hear kids screaming bloody murder...lol The staff is great and work extremely well with kids and they know how to ease their tension by adding a well maintained child environment and sooth talking.
The key thing to note is their explanation of charges, before and for return service. Most Dentist offices lack that as they sneak in extra procedures that one would probably wait to have done at a later time but get you while your in their grip...lol
I highly recommend Post Oak Pediatric Dentist to anyone. Great job guys, keep up the good work!.
My kids have been to Post Oak Pediatric Dentistry for over 4 years. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and professional! I would highly recommend!
I took both kiddos (1 and 3 yo) here for the first time this week and had a great experience both times. Everyone there is so friendly and great with kids. The waiting room and back room had plenty of different types of entertainment for kids. We didn’t have to wait long, if at all, which is a huge plus! Very impressed and happy!
Today was our second visit to this dentist. I've been very impressed with this dental office both visits. My 2.5 year old had a very traumatic experience at another dental office (it wasn't "Kool" at all [hint]). Let's just say that he screamed so hard that his nose bled while getting a crown. I have no doubt that it hurt him as well as terrified him. No laughing gas was used or anything. So Post Oak Pediatric Dentistry came recommended by Marcus Autism Center. I called and was extremely surprised and elated that they set up his appointment within two weeks and then we came back two weeks later to get his last crown put in. The office was very clean and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They were extremely considerate of my son, very patient and compassionate. They did use laughing gas on him today while putting the crown on, thankfully. He did cry a little but nothing even close to how bad he did at the other dental office. The staff at the other dental office seemed very indifferent and just said that it happens all the time, which may be true, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't have been compassionate and consoling like the dentist and staff at Post Oak Pediatric Dentistry have been during both of our visits. I truly cannot say enough about how well they treated my son here. They even allowed me and my newborn to stay with him the entire time. I've had to basically drag my son out of this office both visits because he didn't want to leave. And if you only knew how much my son hates doctors and especially dentists, you would know how big of a deal this is. Very impressed!!!
For pediatric dentistry Dr. Haugseth is the best. From the moment you walk in the door they are all about the child, they teach the children how to be responsible and she even called to check on my child after her last cavity filling.
